We voted on ordering perch to restock the lake in the spring.  We should be able to get about 1,300 (finger size) Perch for just under $2,000.00.  They will be delivered and released in early spring.

The board recently purchased an amplifier and we’ve ordered a tape recorder to be used at all future meetings.

We received a note from Jim MacArthur, thanking us for cutting the grass around the “meeting” garage.

We voted to keep the same board members for another 2 years.  We are trying to do things correctly, but we continue to welcome all constructive criticism.

Jim Goodrow mentioned a new grant to maintain the island.  He will find out more details.

To help the association raise money for projects, it was suggested to have a 50-50 raffle at each meeting or lake function.  This will have to be voted on.

There was discussion about how many tables and chairs belong to the lake association ?  This needs to be resolved between Jim MacArthur and the board members.

The meeting was adjourned at 10:45 A.M.

Respectfully submitted:

Minutes from the May 24th meeting at MCArthur's garage.

Board members present were:  Donna Gretka, Patti McDonald, Chris Richards,

Jerry Shuk, Walt Wojewoda, Doug Lange, Butch Fournier, Al Longyear, Al Scheans,
George Kosnak, and Ken Cumming

Guest Attendees: Guy Savin and Fred Lewis

Minutes were read by Donna Gretka and approved.

Treasurers’ report was read by Patti McDonald and approved.
Association balance is now: $3,459.59.  We are excited to see so many people have paid their dues early.  Thank you!

Mr Savin attended the meeting to explain more about our lake treatment and discussed the weeds to be controlled and the chemicals he uses. There was some talk about milfoil.

One type of milfoil is treatable and one type is not.  There is another form called coontail that is treatable.  We are still not sure which form we have.  He also answered a few questions and concerns that people had.  It was expected that more people would have asked questions ?  We had some comments from the survey that were sent in, but they weren’t mentioned.

Fred Lewis, our Township Supervisor, was also at the meeting.  He mentioned the June 7  Public Hearing to review and confirm the West Londo Lake Improvement Board Special Assessment District for the years 2015 thru 2019. The purpose of the meeting is to hear any objections to renewing the assessment district.  Mr. Lewis also brought us a sign for the boat launch that warns people to check their boat for anything invasive that may affect our lake. He also mentioned us continuing to maintain the park.  We may be able to get sand and gravel for the beach and parking area ?  They will also be taking the grills out.  We did get our check for this year, but we will not be paid for last year.  We did all of the work that was required, except for some garbage removal.  There was a complaint to the township about the garbage and the township refused to pay us for 2013 maintenance.  We did pay our guys with association funds, for their hard work.   If there ever is another problem, I would suggest that we should just give the maintenance back to the township. Mr. Lewis also suggested that we join the C.L.M.P. to be able to test our lake water for clarity and contaminates.  I think someone on our lake already does this, Mr. Lange ?

We discussed our evening boat parade.  Tim and Katie Hales are the originators, so we always start by their house next to the boat launch as soon as it’s dark around 10:00pm.  The parade is scheduled for Friday and Saturday nights.  It’s fun to participate or beautiful to watch.

We also discussed the fish situation.  We thought, because of the deep freeze during the long winter that we would probably lose a lot of fish this spring.  We did not, so we have tabled the idea of restocking the lake for now.  When we do – we would like to ask the Hale Yes organization for a donation to help with our cost.  Every January they sponsor the Hale Winterfest ice fishing contest on Londo Lake.  They should not object to helping us restock our lake when we need to.

We also talked about continuing our Fall Hoedown.  We seemed to have a mixed response, so we’ll talk about it at a future meeting.

The meeting was adjourned at 11:15 AM
